RE: Campground west of Cleveland

Ramblin, while we've never been there, I have heard good things about American Wilderness. Dave, are you bringing the goldwing to Indian Creek? Next weekend is "Thunder on the Strip" weekend, which always draws a good crowd. I'll be watching for your ez-go as it sounds like one I'd like to check out.

RE: My weekend with photos and a point!!! Smokers stay away!

After reading this thread, I vow to never again tell my wife that she takes the dumbest pictures I have ever seen. :R

RE: Finding seasonal and deed RV lots (in Ohio and elsewhere)

These are on the other side of Ohio from where you are looking, but Indian Creek in Geneva-on-the-Lake has seasonal sites, and is directly across the street from the lake. Holiday camplands in Andover, near Pymatuming Lake is a deeded campground, but is further from Lake Erie than you are looking for.

RE: West Branch S.P., Ohio

Site 113 is on the "high" side of the road, and stays fairly mudfree. The other side of the road can be a different story...lol

RE: West Branch S.P., Ohio

113 is a nice site. We like 114 so the boat can be tied up within site of the rv. Tell the boys to bring the fishing poles and they should be good to go. Enjoy.

RE: Camera Suggestions?

Sorry, I should have said to pick a camera that used AA size rechargable power sources. This way if you ever need back-up power, you can use everyday ordinary AA batteries, which are readily available just about anywhere. Let your propriatery power source go south, and you are done.

RE: Bi-Fold Shower Door Option

The bi-fold door is only an option on the models with bathtubs...not the corner shower....our 1st Cruiser TT had the tub and the bifold door. The first thing we did was rip it out and replace with a nice shower curtain....the bifold door took away too much elbow room.....I believe the model you are looking at has the corner shower, so you will get a glass door...there is plenty of elbow room with the glass door. This is exactly correct. The Crossroads website is not real clear about the bi-fold door, but you will have the glass shower door in yours.

RE: Slide-Out Awnings...Yes or No

We have never had to pull the slides in on our Cruiser due to flapping. Get the toppers, you won't regret them.

RE: Trailer plug in pick up bed??

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all 5ver cords long enough from the factory to reach the factory under bumper socket? Every model we looked at( and that seems like thousands) had the cord long enough to plug-in under the bumper

RE: Camera Suggestions?

We bought a Fuji. A huge consideration was that it uses AA batteries, as opposed to the various expensive power cells found on some other brands. Takes great pics too. YMMV

RE: Any Tips for Cleaning Awning

Mr Clean Magic Eraser works like a charm.

RE: Trailer plug in pick up bed??

I can always bet I'll see a cord hanging over a guys tailgate when I see a ladder and a big blue tote strapped to the back of a guys 5ver. I personally like to keep my stuff tucked in, the only reason I see not to do it is being lazy and cheap :p Only reason I see to put an unnecessary hole in the truck is if you want to be anal and retentive :h

RE: Looking for a fiver

You might get a quicker response if you ask your question on the crossroads forum on thier website. More likely to find folks with that same model. I'm not familiar with that model, but our carpet covers everything except the area infront of the kitchen/entry area.

RE: Slide-Out Awnings...Yes or No

We have a Cruiser with the toppers and have never had water come in as we retract the slides. Personally, we would not be without toppers. YMMV

RE: Cruiser 5ver

We have had our 29RE for 2 years now with no problems to report.

RE: Trailer plug in pick up bed??

Things that go in my truck bed: dirt, gravel, mulch, firewood, lumber, etc. Number of electrical connections that allow 10,000lb rv to stop that I want in the bed to become fouled with dirt, mulch...etc: zero.

RE: Coons visiting in our back yard

Relocating a pest is illegal in Ohio, so its hello Mr.22 around these parts.

RE: fifth wheel plug in

My truck gets used as it was intended, which is hauling stuff in its bed. Way to much firewood/dirt/gravel/mulch/etc in the bed for me to have the trailer socket in the mix also. I just let the cord hang and haven't had any problems.

RE: good grief II: obnoxious cg owner

I'm also wondering why the OP is still staying in a CG that is causing them so much grief? Me thinks there is more to the story than we are being told.
